Jack Honeysett is an English artist who is studying for a Masters in Fine Art Sculpture at Syracuse University, New York, USA. He came to do a residency in July 2016.
The representation of history was the focus of Jack’s work and he used his time at the studio to test his practice by working in the historic Cotswold landscape. Jack researched some of the folk traditions local to the Spelsbury area through video and photography, in order to create a body of work which played on ideas of nostalgia and the romantasizing of the past.
He met local artists including Rhiannon Evans who was just finishing her MA in Fine Art Digital Media at Camberwell.
